PORTLAND, Maine (November 10, 2020) - The Black Box on Washington Avenue, Portland’s first converted shipping container and retail incubator, is pleased to announce A Very Vintage Holiday - a curated vintage holiday collection by Jennifer Bravo of VIAND Vintage and Portia Clark of Portia’s Barn - as its newest tenant to the move-in ready space.
This vintage holiday pop-up is the creation of cousins and female entrepreneurs Jennifer Bravo and Portia Clark. VIAND Vintage is a curated collection of a one-of-kind vintage treasures - from home decor, to candles, to giftware - hand-selected by Bravo throughout New England. Portia’s Barn is a rotating collection of vintage rugs, art, and objects hand-chosen by Clark’s eclectic eye for color and classic design. Together, they are joining forces to create a unique holiday shopping experience. “As a female-led small business 2020 has brought along many unexpected challenges. With those challenges has come inspiration for new projects such as VIAND Vintage. I love the thrill of finding those special vintage items and VIAND does just that. I’m excited to bring our online experience to life in a storefront and knew Portia would be the perfect collaborator,” said Jennifer Bravo, owner of VIAND Vintage. “Jennifer reached out to me about the holiday pop-up and I knew right away it was the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest collections and have customers learn a bit about the vintage shopping process,” said Portia Clark, owner of Portia’s Barn. “While there seem to be so many unknowns this year, we know everyone looks forward to the holiday season.”
