Strata, New England’s first Japanese whetstone sharpening and cutlery store, was featured in the September 2019 issue of The Maine Mag. Strata is located in The Black Box on Washington Ave, in Unit 4.
The Cheese Shop of Portland announced their relocation in late June. The anticipate opening their new location in the Fall of 2019. They will remain open at The Black Box until then.
The Portland Press Herald reported that after a year in business at The Black Box, The Cheese Shop of Portland is relocating to a permanent retail space on Washington Ave. From the July 10 issue:

Mary and Will Sissle, owners of The Cheese Shop of Portland at 93 Washington Ave., have announced they’re moving from their renovated shipping container into the building next door at 107 Washington Ave. They said the move will allow them to triple the size of their shop while staying in the neighborhood they love. Expect the move to happen in September.
